As a Landlord in the United Kingdom, by law your property must have an annual inspection of its gas supply and all gas appliances. This work must be carried out by a registered gas service engineer and must meet all the relevant safety criteria.

VERY IMPORTANT: Any Landlords who fail to adhere to these government safety regulations may be prosecuted and/or imprisoned with fines of up to £25,000.00.
